Description
The round honeycomb activated carbon filter uses a highly porous support material loaded with coconut shell activated carbon or treated catalytic carbon particles. Its open-cell structure allows air to pass through the filter while gaseous pollutants are adsorbed onto the carbon surface.
The filter is primarily intended for reducing cooking odors, tobacco smoke, pet odors, formaldehyde, benzene, toluene, xylene and other selected volatile organic compounds. Depending on the application, the carbon media can be modified with catalytic agents or combined with antibacterial layers.
Unlike a HEPA filter, which is designed mainly for fine-particle capture, this product focuses on odor control and gas-phase adsorption. It may be combined with a pre-filter or HEPA filter to form a complete multi-stage air purification system.
